The Phoenix Suns were one of the most talked-about teams in the NBA offseason, and rightfully so.
They had already added Kevin Durant, and trading for Bradley Beal made them the clear-cut favorite to come out of the Western Conference, even ahead of the reigning NBA champion Denver Nuggets.
Then, flipping Deandre Ayton for Jusuf Nurkic and depth only made them all the more scary, but it seems like we’ll have to wait a while before we see them at full strength.
According to a report by Suns beat writer Gerald Bourguet, coach Frank Vogel recently confirmed that there’s no actual timetable for Booker and Beal to come back from their injuries (via Legion Hoops).
Booker was on the floor for their season opener, dominating with 32 points, six rebounds, eight assists, one steal, and three three-pointers on 61.9% from the floor.
However, he hasn’t been able to suit up ever since, nursing an undisclosed ankle injury.
As for Beal, he has yet to make his official debut with his new team, and he’s currently dealing with a back injury.
Undermanned as they are, the Suns have still shown signs of promise.
