Assigned to the Raptors 905 for a chance to unlock his shooting stroke, Dick went 1 for 12 from the field Saturday. The work continues.
Raptors rookie Gradey Dick, guarded by Gabe Kalscheur of the Capital City Go-Go, was held to two points in his G League debut with Raptors 905 on Saturday at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre in Mississauga.
His first G League bucket spoke to Gradey Dick’s feel for basketball and his understated athleticism.
Running the wing in transition late in the first quarter of his minor-league debut, Dick did not flare to the corner and set up for a three-point shot that everyone assumes is his specialty. He cut from the sideline to the paint and caught a slightly errant lob pass that he converted into a bucket.
