Arrivals of new students at Clemson University
A record number of undergraduate applications were received in an increasingly competitive cycle of admissions, and soon, Clemson University will welcome a class of about 5,031 students to Tigertown for their first year of study. The next generation of engineers, medical professionals, business owners, researchers, public servants, educators, and artists will be these entering students. Everybody that comes to Clemson has a different background, experience in life, and viewpoint that will influence our university community.
During their stay at Clemson, each member of the Class of 2028 will experience novel possibilities, revelations, and obstacles. These bright children are prepared to learn both inside and outside of the classroom as they work to have a big influence on their communities and beyond. We are eager to see what they manage to do while they are here. Where they are based These new enrollees come from 22 different nations, all 50 states, and the District of Columbia. This year’s class comprises students from 276 South Carolina high schools and represents 45 of the state’s 46 counties.

North Carolina, New York, New Jersey, Georgia and Florida lead this year’s out-of-state first-year enrollment. Students are also traveling from as far as Honolulu, Hawaii, and Mehsana, India, to be Tigers.

This year’s class includes 137 high school valedictorians and 93 salutatorians.
