Bam Adebayo and Udonis Haslem
The Miami hometown hero remains a beloved figure in South Florida, as evidenced by the Marlins honoring the Florida native during a recent game against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Adebayo still seems to love his veteran teammate and probably always will.
However, it remains unclear whether Adebayo can actually defeat Haslem.
After all, it’s impossible to know how much baseball the three-time NBA champion has played in his life.
He probably got involved in basketball at an early age, inspired by his father, who was a star basketball player at Miami Northwestern High School.
Haslem achieved his dream of playing in the NBA, even though he almost didn’t make it into the league after being cut in 2002.
He played one season in the French professional basketball league before signing with the Heat in 2003.
The retired big man had a shaky start in his first NBA game as he committed more fouls than he scored points.
But on the plus side, he pulled down eight rebounds and was a starter.

Despite losing his starting position during his rookie campaign, Haslem ended up participating in the 2004 Rookie Challenge alongside LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade.
Haslem finished his rookie season averaging 7.
3 points and 6.
3 rebounds per game.
The following year, he returned to the starting lineup and provided the team with rebounding, defense, and stamina.
He ultimately helped the Heat win three championships.
A fourth ring has proven elusive for Haslem as Miami failed to capitalize on NBA Finals appearances in 2020 and 2023.
