Swindon Town have made an unbeaten start to the League Two campaign, winning twice and drawing three in their first five games.
But where are the former Robins who were released at the end of last season? We take a look at where those eight players are now…
Cian Harries
Former Swansea City and Bristol Rovers man Harris found a club in National League side Aldershot, where he has been a mainstay. The centre-back has played all 90 minutes in all seven games thus far.
Mo Dabre
Young winger Dabre also dropped down the leagues. He moved to National League South outfit Chelmsford City, who went six games unbeaten before losing to Hemel Hempstead last weekend.
Harry Parsons
19-year-old striker Parsons is also in the National League after joining Maidenhead United. He’ll be keen to find the form he showed during loan spells with Chippenham Town and Farnborough.
George Cowmeadow
Academy graduate Cowmeadow left the Robins without making a league appearance for the club and has linked up with non-league side FC Kidlington.
Oscar Massey
Former Plymouth Argyle youngster Massey only spent a year at the County Ground and he’s joined Penzance AFC after his exit.
Jonny Williams
Of the players released, Wales international Jonny Williams is the only one to have stayed in the Football League. The attacking midfielder joined up with League Two rivals Gillingham, where he will be hoping to fight it out for promotion under Neil Harris’ management.
Morgan Roberts
22-year-old attacking midfielder Roberts’ start to life with Brackley hasn’t got off to the perfect start after he was sent off on his debut. The National League North side are unbeaten though and with his suspension done, he’ll be keen to nail down a place in the starting XI.
Mathieu Baudry
Last but not least, French veteran Baudry opted to retire at the end of last season. He played over 350 times over the course of his career with 77 of those outings coming with Swindon Town.
