Birmingham City have lost top prospect Trevan Sanusi to Newcastle United.
The England U16 international is sought after by many clubs even though he just turned 16 in April.
The winger is yet to make his first-team debut but was on the Blues’ bench at the end of last season.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has now published a photo of Sanusi at St James’ Park in a Newcastle shirt, although neither club has confirmed the deal.
Sanusi, who was a regular goalscorer for the Under-21 team, announced that he would be leaving the Blues this week by posting his farewell to the club on Instagram.
“This is the end of a chapter,” Sanusi wrote.
“I would like to take this opportunity to announce that I have decided to choose a new path in my development outside of @bcfc.
I want to thank all my staff, teammates and supporters for their help over the past 11 years.
I wish @bccfc all the best and will be forever grateful.”
It is not yet known whether the Blues will receive compensation for the loss of the player.
