Leeds United’s superstar striker is expected to develop his career for the first time this season

Leeds United striker Helder Costa will miss domestic matches at the end of this season, regardless of which club he plays for, according to As Quinas.

The French media outlet reported on Saturday (9 September) that the Angola international is tipped to make the Africa Cup of Nations squad for the ‘First time in his career’ later this season. The 29-year-old has been capped once by Portugal but has since shifted allegiances to Angola.

Him missing a few games for the AFCON should not matter to Leeds as he’s not a part of Daniel Farke’s plans this season.

Helder Costa future: Valencia come to decision to punish Leeds and present hope to Tottenham
Had he been, there would have been some more talk about him but it’s been silent in terms of any developments.

He had been linked with a move away from the club and moving to Saudi Arabia but their window closing means it cannot happen now.

Turkey is the only window open and even they’re running out of time to seal a deal for the Leeds outcast.

While the Whites cannot reinvest the funds generated from his sale right away, it can come in handy in the January transfer window.

It remains to be seen where Costa’s future ends up, but it seems highly unlikely that it will be at Leeds beyond the January window.
