Live commentary of the Leeds vs Cardiff match: Promotion hopefuls start life in the Championship with Aaron Ramsey and kick-off times, team news and how to follow
The Whites are pushing for an immediate return to the Premier League after their three seasons of top-flight football ended.
Leeds won just two of their last 15 games last season to confirm relegation, with even Sam Allardyce unable to save them at the death.
Daniel Farke has since arrived to steady the ship and gain experience in the Second Division after leading Norwich to the 2020/21 title.
But Cardiff will certainly be in for a tough first test having convinced Aaron Ramsey to return to his boyhood club for the season.
Kick-off at Elland Road is scheduled for 2pm:
30h.
talkSPORT 2 will have live and exclusive coverage from Yorkshire, with commentary from Nigel Adderley and former Wolves goalkeeper Matt Murray.

Farke has hinted that Archie Gray could make his senior debut for Leeds in their Championship opener.
“We’ll see,” he said.
“I’m not willing to praise young guys too early because that’s something a lot of people do and then they forget, so they play and develop.
I know I have a reputation for improving many young players.
“I love working with young players.
I’m never afraid, once they’re ready, to play with them and that’s always been my philosophy.
I’m not the same age.
“If a 17 or 18 year old player is ready and playing then it’s that simple, but if you want ambition then you also need a good group of players.
As for Archie, I’m happy with him so far.
