Contracts discussion already in place for the Leicester City starlet super star

Leicester are putting plans in place to tie down Hamza Choudhury before his contract expires at the end of the season. According to Team talk the Foxes are preparing to enter talks over a contract renewal with the midfielder as ‘a number of clubs’ have been monitoring his situation.

Choudhury spent last season on loan with Watford and has since been fighting for his place in the starting lineup at Leicester. So far this season, the 25-year-old has played just nine minutes in the Championship but he started both EFL Cup fixtures. With the Foxes eager to keep him at the club, it could mark the start of more action under Enzo Maresca.

The Championship season is well underway and the summer transfer window has now closed, meaning any new deals will be limited until January. However, there are still plenty of players still on the market without a club.

Birmingham City have the option to explore that section of the market, if they felt inclined to add to their already impressive summer haul. Let’s take a look at what’s being said on the Championship rumour mill, including Blues news and updates on their league rivals

There are currently 27 players who are still out of contract after being released by Premier League clubs during the summer transfer window. One of the names on the list is Lyle Taylor, who left Nottingham Forest following the expiration of his contract.
