Matt Phillips said promotion is the only goal he has in mind at Albion this season.
The club’s current longest-serving player is in the final year of his contract and is keen to help the Baggies return to the top flight.
Phillips, who joined QPR seven years ago, was part of the team that won promotion under Slaven Bilic in 2020 and is keen to repeat the feat under Carlos Corberan.
When asked about his goals for the season, he replied:
“First and foremost, we want to achieve promotion, however we do it as a team.
“For me there isn’t necessarily any personal goal but I want to be part of it and help the team in any way I can.
“For now, it’s important to keep doing what I’m doing, stay healthy and let’s see where this season can take us as a club.”
Albion, who have picked up seven points from their opening five league games, will continue their season at Bristol City on Saturday looking to claim their first away win of the campaign.
Meanwhile, next month’s Midlands derby at Coventry City has been postponed by more than 48 hours to Monday October 30, with an 8pm kick-off to be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
