Inter Milan veteran Alexis Sanchez missed training on Thursday.A report revealed the reason for his absence.
This striker is on international duty with the Chilean national team. However, the Nerazzurri expect him to take part in training today.
Inter are currently preparing for Saturday’s Derby della Madonnina clash with AC Milan.
But Sanchez was nowhere to be seen.
According to Sky Sport via FcInterNews, the 34-year-old missed training due to some logistical difficulties on the flight home.
The former Barcelona and Arsenal star will therefore arrive at the club’s training center later than originally expected.
Sanchez has yet to appear for the Nerazzurri since joining the club on a free transfer at the end of the summer transfer window.
His poor physical condition prevented him from being part of the club’s squad against Fiorentina last month.
However, the veteran played 90 minutes in Chile’s most recent match against Colombia.
While this is a step in the right direction, we will see if his delay will hinder his chances of competing in the big Derby.
Inter hopes to get this player tomorrow.
Sanchez represents the Nerazzurri from 2019 to 2022.
Last year, he left the club to join Olympique de Marseille.
Despite a positive campaign in Ligue 1, the club from the south of France decided not to maintain its services.
Sanchez eventually returned to Giuseppe Meazza on a free transfer.
