Liverpool finally overcame Wolves later today as they produced an emotional second half to win at Molineux.
Cody Gakpo equalized before Andy Robertson scored a shot to increase the score to 2-1 shortly after.
Harvey Elliott then sealed the win with a shot from the edge of the box.
And following on, former Liverpool player Jamie Carragher admitted he was delighted with what Elliott showed.
Elliott’s impact off the bench was once again excellent.
The former Fulham youngster is proving himself to be one of the best players this season and Jurgen Klopp will be delighted.
And on social media immediately after the match, Carragher took to his X account to praise Elliott, who he described as “brilliant”.
Elliott, who is said to earn a modest £40,000 a week at Anfield, is proving to be a good addition for Liverpool since they signed him at Fulham.
And if he can continue to score goals like he did today, then he could be a very valuable player for the Red Devils as the season progresse
There are always glimpses of how good Harvey Elliott is and it looks like this could be the year he shows even more.
Regularly breaking into the Liverpool XI was always going to be a tall order for Elliott.
But if he can keep doing what he’s doing and shake Klopp’s hand, then he could become a regular.
Elliott is still a young man and has a long career ahead of him.
But this looks to be an important season for him and one in which he can clearly demonstrate why the club brought him in.
