According to BBC reporter: West Brom boss reacts after what happened to their defender v Bristol City…..

Chris Lepkowski believes that West Brom centre-back Semi Ajayi was struggling to deal with Bristol City striker Nahki Wells on Saturday, 16 September.

The Birmingham Live journalist watched the game that ended 0-0 despite the Baggies enjoying the lion’s share of possession. The visitors also had 14 attempts on goal but none of them hit the target with Max O’Leary untested in goal.

Lepkowski wrote on Twitter, “Ajayi being given a torrid time by Wells so far.”

Wells can be a handful to deal with and despite having a tough time dealing with him, Ajayi kept a clean sheet, which is what matters.

The hosts had three attempts on goal but the Baggies did not concede a goal and will return to the Hawthorns with a point.

It was the kind of mid-table clash that could’ve gone either way and it’s good to see that Carlos Corberan’s side did not lose this.

These are the kinds of games they would’ve lost under previous managers and they need to continue to stay within touching distance of the play-offs.

They’ve also got to make the most of their home games as the Hawthorns’ atmosphere can make it tough for visiting sides to play in.

Ajayi will have better games but it seems like Corberan is slowly settling on his preferred eleven and system.
