“For reaching such a monumental milestone – our 100th year – we really wanted to do something special with the sweater,” Bruins President Cam Neely said in the team’s press release. “We’re excited to introduce three bespoke jerseys, each featuring an original crest design as well as unique elements meant to honor a century of Bruins hockey.”

The home and road jerseys are similar to the ones the team wore from 1974-1995 spanning from Bobby Orr and Phil Esposito to Ray Bourque and Cam Neely, with some special modifications for the occasion.

The gold is officially a sparkling “Centennial gold” in place of their traditional gold.

Unlike their similar predecessors, there are more stripes. From the official release:

“The right and left sleeves each contain three gold stripes for a total of six as a nod to the organization’s six Stanley Cup® Championships -1929, 1939, 1941, 1970, 1972 and 2011.”
