Daniel Farke can welcome back three players from injury for the Sunday lunchtime trip to The Den
Leeds United manager Daniel Farke has his biggest squad to choose from of the season as he prepares to lead his side out against Millwall at The Den. The Whites are in action a Sunday lunchtime kick-off today, looking for their second win of the campaign.
After spending much of the early part of the season struggling to even fill a substitute’s bench, Farke now has a host of options at his disposal. Firstly, the trio of Liam Cooper, Sam Byram and Daniel James are available again after injury and are available for this afternoon’s clash.
The Whites boss will also be able to call upon two new signings who did not make it in time for the draw with Sheffield Wednesday last time out. Midfielder Ilia Gruev is set for his first matchday squad, as is winger Jaidon Anthony, who arrived late on deadline day.
Despite these positive developments, the Leeds injury list hasn’t quite been cleared. Patrick Bamford, Junior Firpo and Stuart Dallas remain out, while Djed Spence is a major doubt for the trip down south.
Leeds will kick-off at The Den just one point behind their hosts in the early Championship table as they go looking for their second win of the campaign so far.
