According to BBC reporter: Leeds United brilliant player finds level after a victorius win display in 3-0 win v Millwall…..

Leeds United may have finally got their Championship campaign underway, with the Whites easing past Millwall on Sunday (17 September).

Despite going into the clash at The Den low on confidence, Daniel Farke’s men ran riot in a much-needed 3-0 victory.

It was a superb team display from the visitors, but a few individuals certainly shone in the impressive victory for the Whites.

One such player was attacker Georginio Rutter, whose one goal and one assist helped him earn the Player of the Match award, along with his four duels won, as per the official Leeds Instagram account.

Whites supporters may point to the displays of midfield ace Ethan Ampadu, or summer signing Joel Piroe, who netted twice in the match, but at the same time they will be thrilled for Rutter.

The 21-year-old has had a pretty miserable time since his big-money move from Hoffenheim in January, moving to Elland Road in a club-record £35.5million deal. That price tag won’t have helped him, and that became clear when he struggled in the Premier League last season.

The attacker has just two goals from his 19 appearances for the club, both of which have come in the Championship.

Of course he is still young and can only get better, but perhaps the Frenchman has found his level in the English second division.

But Leeds fans and indeed the player himself will be hoping that this is just a stepping stone on the way back into a starring role in the Premier League next season.

In other Leeds United news, one summer signing has immediately repaid the faith as his superb August Championship statistics emerge.
