Enzo Maresca has named his team to take on Norwich in the Championship, with Ricardo Pereira and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall rested for the first time in the league this season
Yunus Akgun starts in midfield for Leicester City with Enzo Maresca making five changes for the clash with Norwich.
The Turkish international is one of several surprises at Carrow Road, with Hamza Choudhury coming in as captain and Cesare Casadei handed his first league start of the campaign. Wout Faes and Kelechi Iheanacho are also brought in.
A winger by trade, Yunus came on in one of the number eight roles at Southampton on Friday night and it’s from there he starts against the Canaries. He will be partnered by Casadei, with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Wilfred Ndidi dropping to the bench.
Elsewhere, Choudhury takes on the full-back-turned-midfielder role that he has been playing in cup matches, with Ricardo Pereira rested, while Faes retakes his spot from James Justin in the back-line. Up front, Iheanacho is in for Jamie Vardy, the Nigerian still looking for his first Championship goal of the season.
Keeping their places are Mads Hermansen, Jannik Vestergaard, Callum Doyle, Harry Winks, and wingers Stephy Mavididi and Kasey McAteer, who both scored on Friday night. Conor Coady remains on the bench and will make his debut if he comes on.
Maresca had said he would make changes to cope with a busy schedule, with this the first of six games in 18 days for the club. He will hope, despite the changes, that the club’s 100 per cent away record can continue. They’ve won all five games on the road so far this season.
