Swindon Town Women’s Manager Mike Cook will leave the club with immediate effect, to take on the Manager’s role at National League North side Gloucester City.
Cook joined the club back in April this year, but will now return to the club that he was with back in 2019, as they look to climb up the National League North table.
Following a successful start to the National League Division One South West, the 54-year-old now moves on to a side that currently sits 23rd in the sixth tier of Men’s football.
Wood has been involved in the club since the pre-season at the start of June, having previously worked at Cheltenham Town Ladies and Forest Green Rovers Women as First-Team Coach.
We’d like to thank Mike for all his efforts during his time with the club and would like to congratulate Richard on his new role as he looks to build on the Women’s team’s positive start this season.
With Cook’s departure confirmed, we can also confirm that Assistant Manager Richard Wood will take on the Manager role at Swindon Town Women, as they look ahead to their next game away to Portishead Town this Sunday.
