Leicester U.18’s are well into the season and they last appeared at home to Crystal Palace.
Crystal Palace took an early lead after 15 minutes, but a goal from Kolo Tourè’s son Yassin, helped Leicester to a 1-1 draw.
Yassin played up front in a team set up in a 5-4-1 type of system, changing from a previous 4-3-3 as the team earlier on have one win Norwich, and another draw in the bag. The only defeat so far are against Fulham away, adding up 5 points, holding a 7th position.
A game at home to Sunderland in the cup competition did see Leicester winning 2-1, having played the first game in the group play. There a lot of positives as we are going forward.
Harry French has so far played 3 league games with Stevie Bouser playing 1. The two goalkeepers are fighting and giving each other good competition.
In the defence, Toby Ononaye and Tommy Neale are two players to watch. Kevon Gray is also a player with steady performances. In midfielder you can notice Alfie Fisken. Kaleb Dyke is a midfielder at the age of 16, that has got much time on the field so far, been involved in all four league games.
Kirsten Otchere is of course not to be forgotten, 3 goals in 4 league games. Jake Evans and Will Lawrence are other names to watch, being on the scoresheet in the 3-4 defeat away to Fulham.
Reece Evans scored both goals in the 2-1 win at home to Sunderland, and has featured in three league games, being much in demand also at U.21 level. The Northern Ireland born has allready, at the age of 17, been capped at U.19 level. Tristan Thomas is another attacking option.
Then you have Leicester born Portugal bound Cheyenne Loureiro, who is also playing up front. There are a number of players also pushed up and into the U.21 set up as a grand group of talent are at the moment building a momentum.
Coach Adam Barradell must be pleased so far, bringing forward a new group of exciting youngsters and hopefully some of them will break through both at U.21 and full level.
