After playing the first 100 minutes at PSV in the last two matches, Armel Bella-Kotchap, a player on loan at Southampton, is expected to be sidelined due to an unusual problem.
According to Dutch press ED, the defender will miss the weekend’s match due to a “toothache problem”.
Bella-Kotchap is said to have “undergone surgery” on his wisdom tooth which was removed on Friday and is now expected to be unavailable for PSV’s match against Almere.
The centre-back was part of Southampton’s squad at the start of the season and his move to the Eredivisie was only confirmed on deadline day.
This means he has only been able to make two appearances for the club so far.
First came his league debut against NEC Nijmegen, then a 4-0 loss to Arsenal in the Champions League this week.
Bella-Kotchap is one of a number of players who left Southampton after relegation and was loaned to PSV until the end of the season.
A good season in Eindhoven will be important to see what happens for him next year.
If you return to St.
Mary’s, he is under contract with the Saints until 2026.
