Leeds United transfer rumours as amazing star reveals Farke talks and £4m man could consider exit…..

All of the latest Leeds United transfer headlines including an update on Borussia Monchengladbach loanee Max Wober and Whites defender Charlie Cresswell

Max Wober only joined the Whites in January, but was one of a host of first-team stars to leave this summer following relegation. The Austrian international has already made five appearances for Borussia Monchengladbach, with the Bundesliga side holding the option to make the deal permanent at the end of the season, and the defender has opened up on his conversations with Daniel Farke prior to making the move.

He told Rheinische Post via Sport Witness: “It was very difficult for me because I felt very comfortable there and had already built up a certain status in the club – even though we were relegated. Then there were discussions with both Leeds and Gladbach, for me it was simply crucial that I could play at the highest level.

“We (him and Farke) were completely open on both sides. I immediately told Mr. Farke that there was contact with Gladbach and that I would probably like to do that. He told me a little about his experiences.

“He objectively listed things that were great and things that he would have changed. It was a good conversation to form an opinion. I also spoke on the phone with guys from here like Hannes Wolf.”

Charlie Cresswell could soon consider his options if he continues to find opportunities to play hard to come by. That is according to Athletic journalist Phil Hay, with Middlesbrough previously linked with a £4 million bid for the England under-21 international.

Max Wober happy to stay at Leeds United

Hay told The Square Ball podcast via Leeds United News: “It was notable that Cresswell was out of the squad. There has been a lot of interest in him. If he’s not knocking on the door or in the squad, then you can’t help feeling that he will start looking elsewhere.

“I don’t know how many games you imagine him playing, but with Rodon, Struijk and Cooper – despite everything, he is an England U21, he just seems to be down the pecking order which is not ideal for him.”
