Alan Shearer was delighted with Abdoulaye Doucouré’s performance and goal as Everton beat Brentford at the weekend.
The Toffees traveled to the capital to face the Bees at the GTech Community Stadium and returned to Merseyside with all three points.
They finished the match 3-1 as Doucoure scored their first goal.
“His goal got Everton off to the perfect start and he was unlucky not to score the second when the ball hit the crossbar,” Shearer told the Premier League website.

However, he is known for scoring important goals and Friday’s strike gave them the momentum to run on.

Sean Dyche is feeling the heat and this result will allay any fears even if a sacking seems unlikely.
Until the takeover is complete, there will not be many significant changes at Goodison Park, but if results are poor then the owners may have no other choice.
