Unai Emery has been very well supported by the board after leading the team from the relegation zone to the Europa Conference League.
He has brought in some top names and the fans have new players to support this season.
Without doubt, the biggest move appears to be Moussa Diaby, who was signed for a club record £51.
9m from Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen.
That huge fee hasn’t deterred Diaby, he has two goals and two assists in six league appearances so far, and he now deserves the praise of a former villain.
Stephen Warnock, a left-back in his 16-year playing career, admitted that people in his position fear him and listed the things he likes about the France international.
“Diaby is special, he is an addition to the Aston Villa team,” he said on Sky Sports News.
“Creative, explosively quick and terrifying for defenders, he is special.
Warnock is quite complementary to his old club, where he played for three years.
He was at Villa from 2009 to 2013 and played under Gerard Houllier, Alex McLeish and Paul Lambert.

The Villa team is currently ranked sixth in the Premier League rankings with four wins and defeats after their opening six matches.
Emery has had to deal with long-term injuries to Emi Buendia and Tyrone Mings, as well as a number of knocks and troubles, but he has received praise from a Premier League veteran.
He say:
“Are they okay?
Most importantly, Unai Emery is doing very well, right?
Sometimes they were lucky, but again, he is a top coach, very solid tactically and listens to all his players.
“They also had major injuries with the loss of Buendia (Emi) and Tyrone Mings, which wasn’t easy to deal with either.
