John McGinn accidentally leaked Unai Emery’s key strategy against Brighton

McGinn, 28, was interviewed by BT Sport before the lunchtime kick-off at Villa Park.
McGinn spoke to TNT Sport host Jules Breach and pundit Peter Crouch about his surprise left-back role in midweek, but dropped his starting position to face the Seagulls.
The Aston Villa player admitted his favorite position is attacking from the right wing the inside-right position and said he would be happy to return to that position today.
McGinn later revealed his mistake and jokingly apologized to boss Unai Emery directly for missing the mark.

The midfielder also said that the players were called to a meeting early in the morning to discuss tactics and try to manage Brighton’s performance before the match started at 12:30.
Meanwhile, Roberto De Zerbi said he will not take any risks with his players’ fitness as Brighton look to build on their impressive start to the Premier League against Aston Villa.
