Adrian Goldberg has been left puzzled by what West Brom have done after making an announcement.

Writing on Twitter on Wednesday (4 October), the former Birmingham Mail journalist said he is “surprised” the Baggies haven’t made more of an offer that has been made to the fans for the game against QPR on 24 October.Adrian Goldberg: Why I quit BBC WM morning show - Birmingham Live

With season ticket holders being able to bring a friend for £10 to the fixture at the Hawthorns, he believes it is a “good offer” as Albion look to get more supporters into the stadium.

It’s a good idea from the West Brom ticketing department to try and get more supporters involved in the game against QPR later this month.

While making an offer to the club’s most local fans, it could also open up the opportunity to get more people interested for any future matches.

With potentially an increased number of supporters in attendance, the Baggies will be looking to impress and continue their impressive recent form, even if the fixture isn’t for a few weeks.

Carlos Corberan’s side picked up a 1-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday (3 October) to extend their unbeaten run to five matches and propel them up into fifth place in the Championship table.

Albion will be keen to keep that run going when they head to St Andrew’s to face Birmingham City on Friday (6 October), where they will be looking to make a statement.
