Earlier today, sources predicted the Nerazzurri coach would make some changes to the starting lineup for Tuesday’s win over Benfica.
These reports favor Alexis Sanchez, Matteo Darmian, Kristjan Asllani and Stefan de Vrij as the starters.
But according to the latest update from Sky Sport (via FcInterNews), Inzaghi has no plans to rotate the squad.
Therefore, Alessandro Acerbi will retain his position in the center of defense between Benjamin Pavard and Alessandro Bastoni.
As usual, Yann Sommer will be the one holding the positions.
On the wings, Denzel Dumfries will man the right wing while Federico Dimarco will guard the opposite side of the field.
In the middle of the park, Inzaghi will once again hand the reins to Hakan Calhanoglu. The Turkish star will act as the deep-lying playmaker. Regular starters Nicolo Barella and Henrikh Mkhitaryan will complete the midfield trio.
Finally, Marcus Thuram will join Inter captain Lautaro Martinez upfront. The Frenchman suffered a cramp in midweek. Thankfully for the Nerazzurri, test results ruled out any injuries.
Therefore, the manager will be able to count on the former Borussia Monchengladbach star from the start.
