Inter Milan winger Carlos Augusto believes he is always ready when on the field and is satisfied with the team’s rotation.
The Brazilian spoke to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, after this afternoon’s Serie A draw against Bologn
Augusto has still not been able to usurp Federico Dimarco as Inter’s main left wing player this season.
However, that doesn’t mean the 24-year-old will miss out on game time since moving from Monza in the summer.
In contrast, Augusto has made two starts for the Nerazzurri.
Furthermore, the Brazilian player also often comes on as a substitute.
Augusto came off the bench in this afternoon’s match against Bologna.
The 24-year-old and his teammates were disappointed when they failed to score a goal to regain the lead and the match ended 2-2.
Still, it was a solid individual performance from Augusto.
The 24-year-old has a chance to regain form and motivation.
For his part, Augusto believes that Inter coach Simone Inzaghi will make the right decisions.
Augusto said of the team’s rotation that “the coach knows what he’s doing.
“Everyone has to be ready when required,” the Brazilian added.
“And we still are, whether from the beginning or as replacements.
“Obviously, when you play less, it’s harder to get big stats, but whoever plays, always be ready.
Regarding the disappointing draw against Benfica, Augusto said: “We have to be smarter and get the result.
”
“We can’t draw like this,” he continued.
“We are Inter.
“The schedule is tight because we play every three days.
But we are prepared and I don’t think fatigue is the problem today.
About being called up to the Brazilian national team, Augusto said that “it was a wonderful surprise”.
