Darren Fletcher believes that two Nottingham Forest players are now integral to the team. He has praised the performances of Nicolas Dominguez and Ibrahim Sangare after promising starts.
The Red Devils recruited both midfielders on transfer deadline day.
Sangaré was an 11th-hour addition after the club sought his signature all summer.
Dominguez was signed which saw Remo Freuler go to Bologna on a season-long loan.
The 25-year-old is a great addition and looks extremely useful.
After another eventful summer, Forest now has many options within the park.
The big challenge for Steve Cooper is to find a winning squad and hopefully be able to play consistently.
According to Fletcher, in Dominguez and Sangaré, Forest currently have two people who cannot sit on the bench.
He discussed the options available and he is a big fan of Forest’s new arrivals.
He told the Garibaldi Red Podcast:
“He (Dominguez) is known in Italy as the king of the press and you can understand why when you meet him.
I think at this point there is no need to rank Sangare and Dominguez.
I think we’re excited to have both.
“I think so when we talk about the central midfield position.
No matter what system you play, these two must be played, right?
Forest are fortunate to have both players. Signing one of them in the summer would have made for a good window but getting both over the line just highlights the ambition that the club has.
It’s extremely exciting to see how these two players can develop at Forest. Fletcher is spot on with his assessment that both are undroppable and hopefully head coach Cooper shares that sentiment.
