NEWS UPDATE: Crystal Palace now want to sign the 20-year-old Championship talent, who made his professional debut at Selhurst Park…

Crystal Palace are apparently interested in exciting Championship attacker Jonathan Rowe but face competition from multiple Premier League clubs.

That’s according to reports from TEAMtalk.

So, what’s the latest Crystal Palace transfer news around Jonathan Rowe? Let’s take a look…

Reports from TEAMtalk have shared that Norwich City want to offer Rowe a ‘bumper contract’ following his great performances so far this season.

They also want to offer him this contract due to the huge amount of interest in the 20 year-old attacking midfielder.

Apparently, the report suggests that Crystal Palace, as well as Brentford, Aston Villa, Burnley and Sheffield United are now monitoring the player.

They have all ‘taken an interest in recent weeks’ in Rowe and now it looks like Norwich will need to tie him down to a new contract sooner rather than later if they want to keep him.

The Englishman, who can play on both wings and also as an attacking midfielder, is having a great 2023/24 Championship season.

Rowe has managed six goals and one assist in his 11 Championship appearances as well as one goal and one assist in his two Carabao Cup appearances.

He is a young player, with lots of potential who loves to take on the defence and he also has an eye for goal. Rowe feels like a perfect suit for a Palace side who have signed young attacking talent from the Championship like Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze.

With the Eagles battling in the top half and already showing that they can offer a great path for young talent, they should be a tempting proposition for Rowe should they make a bid for the Norwich player.

The possible transfer would also feel a little bit like fate to the Palace faithful as Rowe made his professional debut in the Premier League for Norwich at Selhurst Park. Rowe came on as a substitute against Palace back in December 2021.

He looks to be a top talent and he would definitely be an excellent signing for the Eagles both for the present and the future.
