Kevin Durant is entering his 17th year in the league and first full season with the Phoenix Suns. Today, Suns’ fans got to see him in action for the first time this season at the team’s open practice.
Since Durant arrived in February to the Valley at his introductory press conference, the fans have bombarded him with love.
“I’m blown away by how many basketball fans there are in the world, but especially here in the Valley,” Durant said.
Fans will get the chance to see Durant play in a game tomorrow, as he is expected to suit up for the team’s final preseason home game against Portland.
Last time out (also against the Blazers), Durant had 16 points, six assists and four rebounds in 20 minutes.
In this interview, Durant talked extensively about the fans and some of his new teammates including Jusuf Nurkić, Bradley Beal and Eric Gordon, as well as much more.
