Crystal Palace are working hard to offer Tyrick Mitchell a new contract at the club, sources have told Football Insider.
The left-back’s current deal is only set to run until June 2025.
Mitchell, 24, is being monitored by top Premier League sides – who see him as a young player with huge potential to play for elite sides.
Palace boss Roy Hodgson has given the green light to the player landing a new long-term deal that will, sources say, include a “huge” pay rise.
He has played every minute of every league game for Crystal Palace so far this season
The Eagles are now ramping up their plans to reward Mitchell for his progress – with the defender earning a reported weekly wage of £40,000-a-week.
Palace gave the defender his last extension in April 2021, shortly after his breakthrough at the senior level.
He has made 103 total appearances for the Selhurst Park outfit, notching one goal and six assists.
Mitchell also made his senior England debut against Switzerland in March 2022, earning his first start for the Three Lions in a friendly win over the Ivory Coast days later.
The left-back is not the only Crystal Palace star attracting the attention of elite Premier League sides with the January transfer window on the horizon.
Sources have also told Football Insider (16 October) that Marc Guehi is a target for Man United as well as several other Premier League sides.
