Phoenix brought in a championship head coach in Frank Vogel and acquired star guard Bradley Beal in a trade with the Washington Wizards.

Even before the team made these moves, Phoenix was considered one of the best teams in the league due to the presence of Kevin Durant and Devin Booker.

With the Suns reloading and adding to an already talented team led by the two-time NBA champion, many believe Phoenix might be able to go the distance and win it all this season.

However, former NBA player Richard Jefferson has a theory about superteams in their second year being unable to get over the top, via NBA on ESPN.

Jefferson might be right that the Suns will need another year to reach their true potential, with the team being as currently constructed.

However, it may be that the league is currently stacked with talent with many good teams in the NBA, like the Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics, and Milwaukee Bucks.

The competition is tougher than ever, which means the Suns will be put to the test this season from start to finish, with no telling what the final standings will look like in either conference.’

It’ll be interesting to see if Durant and company can put it all together this season, as Phoenix will be one of many exciting teams to watch during the 2023-24 campaign.
