News update MK Dons already in search of replacement confirms Fabrizio Romano

MK Dons have a new boss at the helm in the form of ex-Newcastle United defender Mike Williamson. He took over the League Two side after parting company with Gateshead.

The Dons won 4-1 at home to Bradford City last time out after goals by Joe Tomlinson, Jack Payne, Max Dean and Alex Gilbey. They are now sat in 16th position in the table.

As for Swindon, they find themselves 9th and are two points off the play-offs. They were beaten 1-0 at home by Gillingham on Tuesday night and will be looking to bounce back.

Both of these teams will be looking to start picking up more wins as they aim to reach the top seven at least.

“MK Dons have the new manager bounce, as proven by their impressive win over Bradford City last time out, and they will be in confident mood now.

Swindon are no pushovers though and have players who can hurt the Dons like Dan Kemp and Charlie Austin. Their away form hasn’t been that strong and that is why they have slipped out of the play-offs.

For that reason, I’m edging towards a home win for this one, although there isn’t too much to split the two.”

That was a fantastic midweek display from MK Dons. Bradford were poor, but it was a performance that Gateshead fans were more than familiar with during Williamson’s tenure and hopefully, it’s one Dons supporters can become accustomed to.
