News update:Rangers playmaker could play tonight against Dundee after Philippe Clement announced his comeback.

Rangers fans are probably still celebrating Danilo’s dramatic last-gasp winner against Hearts from Sunday afternoon.

The schedule is relentless though and Rangers are back in action once again tonight.

Philippe Clement takes his side to Dens Park to take on a Dundee side who sit fifth in the Scottish Premiership table.

This is a potential banana skin but Clement will be looking to pick up a third straight league win since taking the Rangers job.

One of Rangers’ unused substitute on Sunday was playmaker Kieran Dowell.

The summer signing from Norwich City is yet to really make an impact for Rangers since his arrival.

Dowell has made just six appearances for Rangers and his last league outing came on the 12th of August against Livingston.

A knee injury has kept Dowell out of action since a nine-minute substitute appearance against PSV Eindhoven on the 22nd of August.

Dowell was on the bench against Hearts but wasn’t brought on, meaning he is still waiting for his return to action.

A new month is upon us and Dowell will be hoping to feature against Dundee to really kickstart his season.

Rangers boss Clement has now told Rangers Review that Dowell will be in the matchday squad tonight, giving him a chance to potentially make an appearance.

Kieran will be in the squad for tomorrow,” said Clement, refusing to really go into any more detail.

Dowell seemed something of a surprise signing for Rangers; he was decent but not a standout player for Norwich City last season.

Michael Beale clearly felt that he could get the best out of Dowell having been aware of his quality and potential in the Everton ranks.
