Arizona’s Cardinals’ starman is off the Cardinals’ injury report ahead of the game against the Browns…

Arizona’s star QB has been working his way back from a torn ACL last December and remains on the team’s PUP list for now

While the Cleveland Browns deal with their own quarterback mystery centered around Deshaun Watson’s injured shoulder, Cleveland next opponent, the Arizona Cardinals, are doing the same.

Star quarterback Kyler Murray, who’s been methodically working his way back from a torn ACL, practiced fully for the team on Wednesay, before being removed from the injury report altogether on Thursday.

Murray followed a same pattern last week where he practiced fully then was removed from the list, but ultimately wound up sitting out against Baltimore. Overall the Cardinals have taken a very patient approach to Murray’s return to the field.

It’s been an eventful week for Arizona surrounding their quarterback situation. Followng the team’s loss to the Ravens on Sunday, first-year head coach Jonathan Gannon announced that former Browns backup Joshua Dobbs would be the team’s starter in Cleveland.

One day later, seemingly changed his tune, announcing that either Murray or rookie Clayton Tune would start instead. Less than 24 hours after that, Dobbs was shipped to Minnesota in a deal, a mere hours before the league’s trade deadline.

As the week of practice winds down, the answer as to which of the QBs will suit up against the Browns is still a mystery.

Murray started the season on the Cardinals Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list as he worked his way back from the offseason surgery to repair his ACL. Back on Oct. 18, the team activated him off the PUP list, which set the timer on a 21-day window that the team has to add the former Heisman winner to their active roster.

That timeline gives Arizona a deadline of Nov. 8 to make him active, meaning if he doesn’t return against Cleveland, his season debut would for sure come on Nov. 12.

For now, it’s a waiting game to find out if Murray’s removal from the injury report this time around mean’s he’ll actually suit up against the Browns on Sunday.
