Can the Chargers take advantage of the potentially depleted Lions football team?
The Los Angeles Chargers are set for their Week 10 matchup; however, it won’t be easy as they host the 6-2 Detroit Lions. The Lions will come into Los Angeles and look to put a dent in LA’s 2023 season. The Chargers, however, will look to put a damper on the Lions’ incredible start to their season.
A lot is at stake for both teams, as a win could bolster their playoff seeding, and a loss could do the same but with significant repercussions.
The Bolts come in as underdogs, although it is a home game for them, and they’ll look to play spoiler. LA could have it maybe a bit easier, as the Lions have eight players on their injury report.
Four of Detroit’s players have the questionable tag, are doubtful, or are listed as out.
The other four Lions were in the injury report earlier in the week but will be available for their Week 10 showdown. One of Detriot’s most significant players who will be out there is running back David Montgomery.
Montgomery is having himself one hell of a year. In five games, the 26-year-old has collected 385 rushing yards in 94 carries, six touchdowns on the ground, and has an average of 4.1 yards per carry. The Chargers will look to carry their stout run defnese tomorrow, as they are ranked sixth in opponent rush yards, allowing only 3.7 and only allowing 89.8 rush yards per game (6th).
It will be a battle of two very talented teams, and we’ll see if the Chargers can take advantage of the more hobbled team.
