Breaking:Cardiff City just got hit with sad and terrible news BBC confirms this report

Kieffer Moore joined Bournemouth from Cardiff in January 2022 for an undisclosed deal understood to be worth up to £5m

The 31-year-old has not started a Premier League game for Bournemouth this season

Moore, who left the Welsh capital in January 2022, had been a Bluebirds target over the summer and manager Erol Bulut says they will try again in the next transfer window.

“We tried at the start of the season to get him in. We couldn’t fix it,” Bulut said.

With Wales manager Robert Page calling for his players to get more game time ahead of their Euro 2024 play-off semi-final against Finland in March, Bulut says he is ready to give Moore a regular starting place.

If we can get Kieffer, we would not leave him on the bench. We would use him, that’s why I want him,” said Bulut.

“I was expecting him to start against Turkey, but that was the decision of the national team coach. What will happen in January, we are working hard on it.

“Our chairman and Ken Choo [chief executive] have some players in our target. I hope we can finalise those three or four transfers and he’s one of them.”

If Moore does return, Bulut has conceded that Cardiff’s style may have to change.

“Maybe a little bit than how we are doing now,” he said.

“Even Kieffer Moore, if we can get him, can play how we are playing now. He has that quality.

The style we are playing right now, around the striker, the players are important. Maybe one more we will add in that attacking part… we have created chances but not finalised them.

“Twenty goals [during] his last full season at Cardiff]. If he can make 12 for us in the second half that would be good.”

Bulut added: “I think they [the board] see also how much progress we have made here from last year to now. I think they appreciate it. How confident the players are and how the club is going. I think they want also to invest in a few transfers.

“In my opinion, we have to invest in January. In the play-offs or in 10th, you have to invest. We all want to get better and better.”

Meanwhile, Bulut is confident midfielder Aaron Ramsey will return from injury in time to captain Wales for the Finland game in March.
