Breaking:West Ham United just got hit with sad and terrible news BBC confirms this report

West Ham have passed on a bizarre message to fans from Burnley ahead of their clash after selling out Turf Moor.

By now the world and its wife knows West Ham are massive everywhere they go

But for the avoidance of doubt, the Hammers faithful keep banging out away ends over land and sea.

Last week we reported how West Ham have sold out their 6,000 allocation for a midweek game at Anfield just days before Christmas in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals.

So it’s no surprise that West Ham fans have also sold out their allocation at Turf Moor for the return of Premier League action this weekend.

But that has resulted in a baffling directive being issued to Hammers supporters.

West Ham have passed on a bizarre message to fans from Burnley ahead of the clash after selling out Turf Moor.

The Clarets have reportedly instructed West Ham to tell their travelling fans not to bring flags with them to the game – because there’s no room.

If you’re travelling to Burnley this Saturday, please note that flags will not be permitted into the away end due to the visitor’s section being sold out,” West Ham’s supporter services posted on social media.

As a result there will be no room for flags to be placed or fixed…

I want to reaffirm that this is all flags and has come directly from Burnley. I hope this helps.”

Yes West Ham play in a vast 62,500 seater stadium, but just how small is Turf Moor?!

Responding to the weird directive, West Ham fans quickly pointed out that flags don’t take up any seats.

Many supporters suggested it is simply a way to covertly ban Palestine or Israel flags at games.

West Ham can rise up to eighth in the table with a win against the Premier League’s basement side.

Burnley welcome West Ham to Turf Moor for a 3pm kick-off on Saturday.
