The Browns business trip out west could not have got off to a worse start after a 29-12 loss to the Broncos and now a date with the Rams awaits

As the dust settles on the Browns 29-12 loss to the Broncos, their trip west couldn’t have got off to a worse start.

The Broncos are now winners of five straight games and are all the way back into the AFC Playoff race. Cleveland now at 7-4 fell back to sixth place in the AFC Playoff picture after the Steelers got a win over the Bengals.

Cleveland let a great opportunity slip through its fingers and they got beat up along the way. The number one goal for the Browns on Sunday was to not turn the football over. They instead did just that, fumbling the football five times and losing three of them, granted two of those fumbles happened when the Browns were in chase mode and the game was already in hand.

Adding injury to insult, literally, the Browns would lose rookie quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson in the third quarter with a concussion after he took a big shot to his head.

Additionally, the Browns’ number one wide receiver Amari Cooper would exit the game in the fourth quarter after he took a huge hit to his ribs. It was revealed after the game that the X-Rays were negative, which is a positive sign for Browns fans. Stefanski will share more information on the injury this week.

Worst of all though, after the game, Myles Garrett had his arm in a sling and told the media that he felt a “pop” in his shoulder.

The Browns are at an inflection point in their season. With the way that things have gone, they cannot afford to fall to 7-5 and be in chase mode for an AFC Wild Card bid.

With DTR dealing with a concussion they will have to find stability at the quarterback position, likely in the form of veteran Joe Flacco. They may also be moving forward undermanned at the wide receiver and potentially on the defensive line.

They have been able to win despite being short-handed all season long, but this latest round of injuries does raise the concerning question of just how much more can one team take?
