In a move that has stirred curiosity, Celtic legend Scott Brown has been spotted at Tottenham Hotspur’s training facility in London. The former Celtic captain, revered for his leadership and ability on the field, appears to be expanding his coaching horizons following his tenure at Fleetwood Town.
Brown, affectionately known as ‘Broony’ to the Celtic faithful, has been open about his aspirations to delve back into management. His recent visit to Spurs’ training ground, documented through an Instagram post showcasing the state-of-the-art facilities, suggests he is actively seeking to enhance his coaching knowledge.
This exploratory step comes after Brown’s departure from his first senior managerial role at Fleetwood Town earlier this year. Eager to return to the sidelines, Brown’s visit to Tottenham shows his eagerness to learn.
Brown would have been in the company of former Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou at the training facility. We need a picture of the pair for sure!
Although Brown and Postecoglou narrowly missed working together at Celtic, their paths have crossed before. Notably, during a match at Celtic Park, when Brown was playing for Aberdeen, Postecoglou encouraged him to take a bow in front of the Celtic fans after the game because he didn’t get the chance to do so during the pandemic season. This gesture, acknowledging Brown’s significant contributions to the club, was respectfully declined by Brown, citing the unease of such an act while donning an Aberdeen jersey.
Brown is also very well acquainted with Ange Postecoglou’s assistant Chris Davies who was Brendan Rodgers’ assistant at Celtic during the Irishman’s first run as manager. Winning an invincible treble together.
It’s great to see Ange sharing his knowledge with other former Celts.
Celtic fans are keenly watching Brown’s journey. If he can find his managerial feet one day the Celtic job could come calling.
