P.J Walker Gets Suspended For Sunday Game Against Jaguars See Why…
P.J. Walker, who went 1-1 in relief of Deshaun Watson earlier this season, was waived Saturday by the Browns.
The move leaves Cleveland with just 2 quarterbacks for Sunday’s game against Jacksonville, Joe Flacco and rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson.
Walker, 28, completed just 48 percent of his passes this season for 1 TD and 5 interceptions.
He’d been supplanted on the depth chart by Flacco, who started last week’s loss to the Rams.
Walker is 5-4 in 21 career NFL games.
It’s possible this is just a procedural move to clear a roster spot for Sunday and Walker could be re-signed to the practice squad next week.
In other news, receiver Amari Cooper has cleared concussion protocol and is listed as questionable for Sunday.
Tackle Dawand Jones is out
