Another Heavy Set Back For Mike Tomlin As…

HOUSTON — Everybody wants a quick fix or better yet, thinks there is a quick fix to everything.

That’s including what we’ve seen from the Pittsburgh Steelers for the majority of what many believed was going to be a playoff-caliber season, especially after that preseason they had.

You’ve heard it by now: Start your top two picks, Broderick Jones and Joey Porter, make Jaylen Warren your feature back over your first-round pick of two years ago Najee Harris look and fire Matt Canada and poof, just like that, the Steelers are playoff contenders.

Oh, it has to be tempting.

Mike Tomlin bit on the question moments after an embarrassing 30-6 loss to the Houston Texans at NRG Stadium. The Steelers played their worst game of the year against their worst opponent. They got slapped around by a team that had an offensive line that went three-deep at tackle and a defense that had yet to collect a sack.

The Steelers were never in the game and now with Kenny Pickett out for who knows how long after injuring his knee late in the third quarter, the season feels like it can get away from them in a hurry
