Done Deal: Miami Hurricanes Have Officially Signed Elias Rudolph…
By the end of National Signing Day, the Miami Hurricanes recruiting class will have the nation’s best group of pass rushers. The latest commitment is the latest to sign with The U.
Rudolph originally made a verbal commitment to the Michigan Wolverines before switching his commitment to the Hurricanes on Aug. 13, 2023. He’s from Cincinnati but had moved down to Deerfield Beach (Fla.) High School. That’s where the Canes began to notice him before he moved back to Cincinnati.
Rudolph’s first-step burst is elite. Seeing him be a pure speed rusher while offensive tackles struggle to keep up with his explosiveness is impressive. Rudolph also does a tremendous job of going across the field to make a play; he hustles like the Miami coaches will want him to.
Finally, Rudolph has a frame and long arms that can be molded into a 250-pound monster in time. He’s going to need a couple of years to completely fill out in the weight room, but Rudolph has a world of potential.
He needs more power to take on offensive linemen within the run game. Rudolph relies on speed and quickness right now, but at some point, he must be able to take on bigger players and hold his own.
Rudolph is the type of long and lanky edge rusher that the Miami football program is famous. Rudolph can be as good as he desires to be.
