The New York Giants today signed defensive lineman Timmy Horne off the Atlanta Falcons’ practice squad.
In a corresponding move, kicker Randy Bullock was placed on injured reserve due to a hamstring injury that he suffered last week against the Saints in New Orleans.
On Wednesday, coach Brian Daboll said Cade York, who is currently on the practice squad, is the next kicker up.
Horne, 6-foot-4 and 323 pounds, played in all 17 games and made five starts for Atlanta as an undrafted rookie in 2022.
Horne spoke of prospects and his intention to soar high with the New York giants asking for every needed cooperation
He was released at the end of his second training camp but signed to the practice squad, where he was activated for Weeks 3, 4, and 10 of this season.
Overall, his career numbers include 31 total tackles, two passes defensed, and one quarterback hit in 30 games.
A North Carolina native, Horne played one season (2021) at Kansas State University after spending four seasons (2017-20) at the University of Charlotte.
He amassed 121 total tackles, 17 tackles for loss, 4.0 sacks, and three fumble recoveries in 55 games (30 starts) in his collegiate career. He earned All-Conference USA honors in 2020.
