Pittsburgh Steelers Finally Takes The Step To Winning Ways Again With This…
PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers will get some much-needed help at safety as they activate Elijah Riley off of Injured Reserve just head of Week 16 when they’ll play the Cincinnati Bengals.
Riley suffered an ankle injury against the Cleveland Browns in Week 12. He was placed on IR shortly after. The team opened his return window this week, and the veteran was able to be a full participant on some days while limited on others.
Riley was initially placed on the injury report as questionable but is now expected to play.
Riley originally joined the Steelers last season as a member of their practice squad. After being elevated for three games, he signed to their active roster and then remained with the team heading into 2023.
Pittsburgh is without Minkah Fitzpatrick (knee), Trenton Thompson (neck) and Damontae Kazee (suspended) for Week 16. Cornerback Patrick Peterson is expected to move back to safety with Miles Killebrew and practice squad elevation Eric Rowe playing alongside him.
