Browns Way To The Play Off Was It Really Joe Flacco Or Amari Cooper…

The Cleveland Browns have tied together their second three-game win streak of the season as quarterback Joe Flacco led them past the Texans, 36-22, on Christmas Eve.

The 38-year-old completed 27 of 42 passes for 368 yards and three touchdowns with only two interceptions on Sunday.

Meanwhile, wide receiver Amari Cooper combined with Flacco for two of those touchdowns.

Cooper also tallied 11 receptions for 265 yards in the win – the most receiving yards in a single game in Browns history.

Flacco is the second oldest quarterback in the NFL today, trailing New York’s Aaron Rodgers. However, Father Time appears to be on his side as the Browns are now 3-1 with Flacco facilitating the offense.

In his four appearances, Flacco has a total of 939 yards and seven touchdowns while completing 77 of 133 passes.

Los Angeles Lakers star and Cleveland native LeBron James shared his excitement on social media while watching Flacco and Cooper lead the Browns over Houston.

Flacco joined the Browns this year after his former team, the Jets, cleared him to make room for Rodgers. He came into Cleveland as the third string quarterback but found himself making an impact after Deshaun Watson suffered a season-ending shoulder injury in November.

The Browns would try staring secondary quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson in Watson’s absence. And though, the 24-year-old had decent outings, Flacco took the helm with his Super Bowl-winning experience regardless of his age.

Cleveland look to keep the win streak going as they close in on the last two games of the season. The Browns will play the Jets on December 28 and end the season against the Bengals on January 7.
