Former Alabama Offensive tackle Returns To Jacksonville Jaguars Causes Controversy For…
The Jacksonville Jaguars won’t have quarterback Trevor Lawrence in the lineup as they try to save their sinking season on Sunday. But the Jaguars will have left offensive tackle Cam Robinson available for the first time in a month.
Robinson left Jacksonville’s 24-21 victory over the Houston Texans on Nov. 26 with a knee injury. The Jaguars placed the former Alabama All-American on injured reserve the following day, and he missed the next four games.
Jacksonville lost all the games missed by Robinson to slip to 8-7 and into a tie for the top spot in the AFC South with the Texans and Indianapolis Colts, although in the playoff standings, the Jaguars retain the No. 1 spot via tiebreakers with two Sundays remaining in the regular season.
Jacksonville will play the Carolina Panthers on Sunday without Lawrence, who will miss a game for the first time in his career because of a shoulder injury. C.J. Beathard will be at quarterback for the Jaguars.
