“URGENT BREAKING NEWS: Kevin Stefanski Faces Make-or-Break QB Dilemma! The ONE Decision That Will Define the Browns’ Playoff Fate – Don’t Miss the Shocking Twist!”
With veteran quarterback and journeyman Joe Flacco having done an admirable job of filling in for injured star Deshaun Watson, the Cleveland Browns will continue to push forward with the one-time Super Bowl champion under center entering the NFL playoffs.
Flacco may not be the best overall quarterback headed into the postseason, but he may be good enough to help take this team the distance, with the division-rival Baltimore Ravens potentially being the team’s toughest opponent in the AFC moving forward.
However, with Flacco set to turn 39 later this month and no longer being the spry quarterback of old, a major concern for the Browns will be who is behind the veteran on the depth chart, as there’s a decent chance that player could be called upon in the weeks to come.
Even though head coach Kevin Stefanski doesn’t have a lot of options at the quarterback position in terms of backups, he has still yet to make a decision on who will be Flacco’s backup heading into this weekend’s playoff matchup with the Houston Texans, according to Andrew Siciliano of NFL Network.
The decision for Stefanski comes down to two names that are viable options behind Flacco for Wild Card Weekend: P.J. Walker and Jeff Driskel.
Obviously, Flacco gives the Browns the best chance of getting the best of the Texans on the road at NRG Stadium in Houston, but one of the backups might be needed.
Even though the Browns are arguably the better all-around team coming into this playoff game, C.J. Stroud and company will likely put up a fight, making this matchup interesting, to say the least.
