Alabama loses JC Latham but $35m wanted star insists to play for Kalen Deboer in Tuscaloosa.

Alabama football loses JC Latham to the NFL, lost Seth McLaughlin and Kadyn Proctor to the NCAA transfer portal, but it has three marquee offensive linemen returning to usher in the Kalen DeBoer era in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

Jaeden Roberts, a rising junior, affirmed his commitment to the Crimson Tide on social media. The 6-foot-5, 316-pounder from Houston (Texas) brought physicality and toughness to Alabama’s offensive line in 2023.

He earned his first career start against Texas A&M, helping Jalen Milroe produced a 300+ yard passing performance against the Aggies.

Roberts, a member of the Crimson Tide’s 2021 recruiting class, did not look back from there. He started the remainder of the season and got better with each matchup.

Roberts’ best performance came in the Southeastern Conference Championship Game against Georgia.
