Packers Legend Shares Heartfelt Message with Jordan Love
The Green Bay Packers lost in a nail biter to the San Francisco 49ers and now Jordan Love’s first season as a starter comes to a close. There is a lot to be optimistic though with this team, as they have one of the youngest teams in the NFL and Love is going to be good for a long time to come.
Brett Favre the legendary Packers quarterback chimed in after the game to give the team and Love his support for how they did in that game and all season. Favre clearly has given Love his approval as a quarterback worthy to lead this historic team for years to come.
Playoff exits are never easy especially for a young team like the Packers, Jordan also made a terrible play to lose the game even though he had been amazing all game and all year. Favre shared a heartfelt message with Love after the game and that Love could be amazing for years to come.
Love had the best first year as a starter in Packers history and played like one of the best in the league this year. He had clearly done enough in his first year as a starter to get Brett Favre high praise and stamp of approval. Favre tweeted on his account on X a heartfelt message to the team and to the young quarterback.
Favre does indeed speak for all Packers fans, and although they suffered a brutal loss Green Bay nation is feeling very proud of their young team and their young quarterback. But the last part is perhaps the craziest as Favre says Love can be the best Packer quarterback of all time, better than Aaron Rodgers, of course himself, and legend Bart Starr.
This is very high praise coming from Favre as he saw what many in the NFL saw in Jordan Love, that he has the potential to be great. This young team will be back in the playoffs for many years to come and that bad play Love made will be something he can use a fuel to get better next time he is in the post season.
Jordan and this Green Bay team should hold their head high for what they were able to accomplish this year. Although they came up short and would have loved to make it to the NFC championship, they had an amazing season for their first year without Aaron Rodgers.
Brett Favre certainly thinks so as well, and Love should see that the praise he getting from the all time great should show that he is on the right path to becoming one of the best in the league at his position. Love should be proud of himself even though he made that game ending turnover, as this team was only in that position because of how well he played.
Although Love is far from the best Green Bay quarterback ever, this year is a great starting point for him in his career. While their offseason starts earlier then they wanted it to, Love and the Packers will be great for a long time to come as they have found their third amazing quarterback in a row.
